Hundreds of people remain without power this afternoon following Storm Debi overnight. However, power was restored to 397 customers in the Roscommon Town area as of 11.40 this morning. In the Oran area, 135 customers are affected and it is estimated they will be without power until noon tomorrow. According to the ESB, the counties most impacted by the storm include Galway, Roscommon, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan and Louth. However, due to the scale of the damage to the electricity network, some customers in localised areas will remain without supply overnight,” the ESB said.
